We are a Toronto-based, Ministry-Approved Beginner Driver Education (BDE) provider proudly serving the entire GTA. Our experienced and trusted instructors bring years of hands-on expertise, building a strong foundation in safe, responsible driving while shaping positive habits and attitudes in new drivers.
We offer MTO-approved digital learning for the in-class portion of the BDE course, allowing you to study at your own pace, anytime. All in-car training is delivered through personalized, one-on-one lessons tailored to your skill level, ensuring you gain the confidence needed to pass your road test.
We also handle G2 and G road test bookings, provide full preparation, and offer an instructor vehicle for your test at any Drive Test Centre.
Ministry approved Beginner Driving Education Course
The Ministry requires a minimum of 40 instructional hours for each student. Our program provides 30 hours of online learning and 10 hours of in-car training, meeting all requirements for certification. Once you complete these components within one year, your Driver’s License History (DLH) will be updated to confirm your successful completion and graduation from the BDE course.
Finishing the Beginner Driver Education program reduces the mandatory waiting period for your road test from 12 months to 8 months and may also make you eligible for an insurance discount.

After the pandemic, the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) transitioned the in-class portion of BDE programs to approved online learning. SR Safe Driving School continues to offer this convenient MTO-approved digital program so students can complete their theory training at their own pace.
At the same time, we proudly maintain our in-person driving school location in Scarborough, ensuring students still have access to hands-on support, personalized guidance, and a traditional learning environment whenever needed.
